Eileen Brady Leahy was born in Hartford, Ct and moved to Holyoke, Ma in 1970. She attended Emmanuel College in Boston, MA and doubled majored in Political Science and History graduating in 1990. She spent a semester studying European History at the University College Galway, Galway, Ireland. She graduated from New England School of Law and in 1994 and was sworn into the Massachusetts Bar in 1994 and the United Federal District Court in 1995.

Attorney Leahy spent 8 years as an Assistant District Attorney where she was a Supervisor in Juvenile Court trying Youth Offender Cases and later became a Supervisor of the Springfield District Court. While in the Hampden County District Attorney's Office attorney Leahy tried hundreds of criminal cases before entered private practice as a partner in the firm of Chartier, Ogan, Brady, Sarnacki, Leahy and Rooney. Her main practice is criminal defense in both the District and Superior Courts where she is certified to accept cases. Her diverse work experience and exposure to the legal system has led to her recognition as one of the areas most outstanding criminal defense attorney.

Attorney Leahy is active in the community as the President of the Holyoke Bar Association, as well as President of the Children's Museum of Holyoke. She is Chairman of the City of Holyoke License Commission and City of Holyoke Conservation Commissioner and also a member of Massachusetts Bar Association, Women's Bar Association, Hampden County Bar Association the Board of Directors of the Providence Ministries, Parish Council Member.
